Annual regional meeting “Chief Doctor’s Day” was held in Salekhard, the capital of Yamal district. Tatiana Buchkova, Deputy Governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District (YNAD), Nikolay Vinokurov, Director of YNAD Health Care Department, managers of medical and preventive institutions, Federal Service on Customers' Rights Protection and Human Well-being Surveillance, regional Compulsory Medical Insurance fund and specialists from Tyumen as well participated in the meeting.
Vladislav Smaznov, MD, PhD, Deputy Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, described joint work of Tyumen and Yamal specialists. ‘Since its opening Tyumen Cardiology Center has been dealing with cardiovascular diseases in Yamal residents. Cooperation began with visits of our specialists to northern citizens for medical examination. We carried all necessary equipment with us, our physicians still remember that interesting time,’ Vladislav pointed out.
Active work has been conducted during almost 30 years and it resulted in hi-tech medical care for residents of the North. For a long time Tyumen Cardiology Center has been a participant of the Governor program ‘Cooperation’. Besides, for many years Tyumen scientists have been studying arterial hypertension in people living in the north and doing expeditionary and rotational work. Also Tyumen specialists are sharing their experience with YNAD physicians; colleagues meet each other at the joint conferences which are annually held at medical institutions of Yamal. Therapists and cardiologists from YNAD always take part in the International Congress “Cardiology at a Crossroad of Sciences” annually held in Tyumen Cardiology Center in May.
Dr. Smaznov told the participants of the meeting about modern methods of interventions performed in Tyumen Cardiology Center; about treatment, work of service and marketing department.We highlight that during 9 months of the year 2014, 770 Yamal residents received hi-tech cardiology care in our Center and 1407 people received outpatient care.
