Tyumen doctors awarded with third degree diploma

We can confidently say that all conferences on high blood pressure in Russia are held with participation of Prof. Lyudmila Gapon, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation and Scientific Head of Department of Arterial Hypertension in Tyumen Cardiology Center. Prof. Gapon is an expert of Department of Health Care of Tyumen region, a member of Institute Scientific Council, and Scientific Council on Medical Issues of Siberia, Far East and Extreme North. At the conference she presented a report on the issue which has been studied for many years - arterial hypertension in people involved in expeditionary-shift work in the North. “I presented important data about corrections of treatment for such patients,” L. Gapon says. “Besides, together with a group of scientists we participated in the posters competition and took honorable third place. Our study was devoted to an individual approach to chronotherapy. It is based on the analysis of spectral composition of blood pressure rhythms and its advantages during Arctic watch.”

Vladislav Smaznov, MD, PhD, Deputy Director also had one oral and four poster presentations at the meeting. He told about the studies performed by Tyumen Cardiology Center Laboratory of Epidemiology and Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases: association between heart diseases and psychosocial risk factors in Tyumen population.“The conference was very representative,” our specialists shared their impressions. “There were around 200 people, wide geography and high scientific level. Meeting with Professor L. Zhuravlyova from Kharkov, who signed an agreement of cooperation with Tomsk Institute of Cardiology in the result of negotiations, stuck in our memory.”
