All over the world, Heart Day is celebrated every year on the last Sunday of September. In Russia National Healthy Heart Week traditionally precedes this day. Every year Tyumen Cardiology Center acts as an organizer of social campaigns aimed to prevent cardiovascular diseases among people of Tyumen and Tyumen region.
This year Heart Week in Tyumen will be devoted to the health of medical workers. Deputy Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, Vladislav Smaznov, MD said: “Relevance of this project is associated with the fact that people with higher education, engaged in intellectual work are in high-risk group for cardiovascular diseases. This is confirmed by the results of research performed in our laboratory of epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular diseases".
On September 27, 2014 within the campaign the specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center will conduct a free complex examination of cardiovascular system for the doctors from the south of Tyumen region, who can not always afford to undergo a regular check-up with modern diagnosis equipment.
Participants of the campaign will have a complex examination in functional and ultrasound diagnostics departments (EGG, stress tests, echocardiography, etc.), laboratory tests, consultation of cardiologist. If necessary, the doctors will get additional examination.
According to preliminary information, about 50 medical workers of different specialties from Tobolsk, Ishim, Yalutorovsk, Zavodoukovk, as well as Aromashevo, Berdyuzhye, Vagay, Vikulovo, Armizonskoe, Uvata, Yarkovo, etc. will participate in Healthy Heart Day in Tyumen.
