Sedentary lifestyle, work that requires long hours sitting in front of a computer, fast food snacks and constant stress are perhaps the “best friends” of modern youth now. What can be changed in the lifestyle to preserve the health from an early age? Tyumen City Development Charity Fund together with physicians of Tyumen Cardiology Center will help you find the answer to this question during a preventive health campaign for young men and women.

The campaign will take place on August 2 within the Federal Project “The Right to Health” – an Information Project that takes place in the Russian Federation with the financial support of the European Union. The campaign starts at 9:30 am. At the meeting you will have a chance (for absolutely free!) to find out your cholesterol level, measure your blood pressure and get nice presents from the organizers. After that all participants will go for a walk with cardiologists, during which everyone will have a great opportunity to ask the specialists any questions about the healthy lifestyle and nutrition, physical activity, bad habits, etc. in a relaxed atmosphere. At the meeting the qualified doctors will give practical advice, and at the end of it everyone will learn how his/her blood pressure has changed after physical activity.
Join us! Take your parents, grandparents, children and friends with you! All we expect from you is good mood and comfortable shoes! You, in turn, will get gifts and a questionnaire with a detailed description of the state of your cardiovascular system.

The benefits of walking
Hiking or walking is the easiest and most affordable way of prevention of cardiovascular disease. Studies have shown that at least 40 minutes of walking every day reduces the risk of heart disease three times. Regular sustained walking can lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, arterial hypertension, arrhythmia, diabetes, diseases of bones and joints. In contrast to active running or exercises with heavy dumbbells, walking at a moderate pace does not overload the heart, and gives the spine a rear opportunity to be in a natural upright position. By walking almost all the muscles of the body are exercised, and the calf muscles serve as a pump, contracting the veins and pushing blood back toward the heart. Blood flow to all organs including the heart and brain improves, that helps working efficiency and well-being. The main thing is that you can easily include walking into your daily regimen; it does not need any financial expenditure and has no contraindications.

Information campaign “The Right to Health!”
Any person has the right to be healthy, protect his health, have the necessary knowledge in this important issue and understand that health protection is the personal responsibility of everybody. Live a healthy lifestyle, keep fit, be attentive to the state of your health – undergo regular medical and clinical examination. All these are “building blocks” for a full, bright, long and healthy life. And this is the basic meaning of the information campaign “The Right to Health” that is held in the Russian Federation with the financial support of the European Union. In Tyumen the project is implemented by the Tyumen City Development Charity Fund.
