Leading Russian and foreign specialists in the treatment of coronary artery disease met at the all-Russian Conference "Endovascular Treatment of Complex Forms of Coronary Artery Lesions" that was held in Krasnoyarsk on April 14-15, 2014.
During two days surgeons, cardiologists and scientists were discussing principal questions in the treatment of coronary artery lesions. A large number of reports and lectures were presented at the Conference, round-table discussions and live transmissions from operating rooms were organized.
Our specialists – Igor Zyryanov, MD, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Head of Cath Lab and interventional cardiologist Ivan Bessonov, MD presented the experience of Tyumen Cardiology Center in the treatment of coronary artery disease. Their report was devoted to percutaneous coronary intervention for left main trunk lesion.
At the end of the meeting I. Zyryanov and I. Bessonov were awarded a diploma for the best presentation at the Conference. As a prize for the most successful research the surgeons received a certificate for participation in the XVI Moscow’s International Course on Endovascular Therapies – “TCT RUSSIA 2014” – one of the most prestigious and interesting medical events in Russia. The Course will be held on 16-18 June, 2014 in Moscow.
The Russian Scientific Society of Endovascular Therapies annually organizes the Conference in Krasnoyarsk. Dr. Bagrat Alekyan, leading Russian cardiovascular surgeon, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences is the chairperson of the Society. The Society was founded in 2002; its main objectives are aimed at facilitating the introduction of new endovascular treatments for cardiovascular disease, the instruction and training of specialists in this field, and the growth and invigoration of international cooperation.
