The 5th Congress of the Russian Society of Interventional Cardioangiology was held on March 26-28, 2014 in Moscow.
Over 500 participants from Moscow, St Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Ekaterinburg, Kemerovo, Tyumen and other cities take part annually in this meeting. Faculties from many countries including USA, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and many others told about the latest achievements in interventional cardiology.
This year Head of Cath Lab of Tyumen Cardiology Center Igor Zyryanov, MD, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation chaired the Presidium devoted to complementary imaging techniques. Our interventional cardiologists Stanislav Sapozhnikov, MD and Ivan Bessonov, MD presented their experience and results in the treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome. “We have been preparing for the congress for a long time and our reports aroused big interest among the colleagues. We discussed a lot of issues at the meeting and are very pleased with our work,” – told Stanislav.Let us remind that the major advantage of interventional methods of treatment is in absence of direct surgical intervention that significantly reduces the risk of serious postoperative complications.
