On March 24-26, 2014 the III International Forum of Cardiology and Internal Medicine was held in Moscow. This year Tyumen Cardiology Center was represented by cardiologist of the Department of Coronary Insufficiency Natalia Shipitsyna, MD.
At the traditional Young Scientists’ Symposium which was held within the Forum Natalia delivered a report on the unique research of arterial hypertension in shift workers of Yamburg settlement (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District). This study formed the basis of PhD thesis which was defended by Natalia at the end of the last year. “Only six presentations were selected for the symposium, mine among them, - tells Dr. Shipitsyna. – Many questions were asked. Colleagues even advised me to prepare a habilitation thesis on this topic and told that they could write a review. This was my third participation in a forum like that. I managed to listen to other reports, improve my skills and learn some useful information.”
The scientific program of the forum was devoted to the world major achievements in cardiology, new scientific concepts, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, healthcare quality improvement, use of advanced medical technologies in cardiology, effectiveness of public health physicians, including general practitioners, therapists and cardiologists. Special attention was paid to case studies, educational courses, round-table discussions and lectures of the world-famous scientists.It should be also mentioned that Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center Professor Vadim Kuznetsov joined the Scientific Committee of the III International Forum of Cardiology and Internal Medicine and scientists of Tyumen Cardiology Center presented five poster presentations.
