The World day of struggle against tuberculosis is annually held on 24 March under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO). The All-Russian preventive action “White Chamomile” devoted to this day took place in many cities of Russia. In Tyumen it was organized by the leading medical institutions of Tyumen region, including Tyumen Cardiology Center.
The main aim of the action is to inform the population of the necessity and ways of prevention of tuberculosis and draw public attention to this problem.Nurses of our center made special chamomile-shaped leaflets for our patients as chamomiles have been the emblem of the action for many years and symbolize clean and healthy breathing. The patients admitted that they knew nothing about the prevention of such serious disease, that is why they were very grateful to nurses and doctors of Tyumen Cardiology Center for useful information and care.Doctors advise to increase the body's resistance by doing physical exercises, following the right diet, breaking bad habits, walking in the fresh air and ventilating your house frequently to keep good health and resist tuberculosis.A persistent cough that lasts longer than three weeks can be worrisome, as well as fatigue, asthenia, excessive sweating and rise of temperature. In many cases, such symptoms may be an indication of tuberculosis, so you should not treat yourself. As this disease can lead to serious consequences you should seek for medical care as soon as you find such symptoms. Be healthy, take care of yourself and your loved ones!
