In January 2014 by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir V. Putin, Dr. Tatiana Chernysheva, Chief Pediatric Cardiologist of Healthcare Department of Tyumen, Associate Professor of Tyumen State Medical Academy, Pediatric Cardiologist of Tyumen Cardiology Center has been awarded the title «Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation» for her long-term conscientious work.
In the childhood Tatiana dreamt of being a teacher like her mother but she was strongly opposed to that idea because didn’t want such a hard lot for her daughter. As for Tatiana’s father, he desired his child to be a doctor. “Anyway, I became both a doctor and a teacher,” – told T. Chernysheva. Her education started in 1973, when she entered Tyumen State Medical Academy. In her fourth year of study future cardiologist began attending lectures on children diseases. “Head of our department, Professor Antonina Volkova had a keen scent for finding students possessing creative and managerial skills, who could fulfil themselves in pediatrics,” – recollected Tatiana. That was how the group of students was formed, with Tatiana Chernysheva among them. Today she is very happy that everything turned out that way. She has already been lecturing on pediatrics for 25 years now and considers herself a very exacting teacher. The doctor believes that a pediatrician cannot help loving his/her profession: “Children are so sincere, open and always mean what they say. Being among them I feel that I become more gentle and forbearing. Moreover, pediatricians always look young as they are like batteries – children energize them, as well as their grateful parents do.”
Children often make Tatiana presents: drawings, handicrafts, photos. “They come, ask to take a photo with them and at the next visit they present me the framed photo with an inscription “Thank you”, – told the doctor. – The main thing is not gratitude, but the positive effect of treatment – only then I am on cloud nine. And the best present is when my ex-little-patients become my students, and such cases are not rare.”
