Medical students from Kazakhstan visited Tyumen Cardiology Center

Yesterday fifth year students of Medical University of Astana visited Tyumen Cardiology Center. Future surgeons could learn about new ways of treatment of cardiovascular diseases and peculiarities of Cardiology Center’s work.


Marina Bessonova, Head Doctor of Tyumen Cardiology Center, Honoured Doctor of the Russian Federation welcomed the guests: “We are always open to new interesting cooperation. I hope that information you learnt today will be useful in your future professional activity.”
Professor Alexander Rychkov, Deputy Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, Head of Heart Rhythm Disturbances and Pacing Department gave a presentation on surgical treatment of cardiovascular diseases applied in Cardiology Center: balloon angioplasty, coronary artery stenting, radiofrequency ablation and cardiac resynchronization therapy.
The students visited two operating rooms fitted out with the modern high-tech equipment; moreover, they could attend a surgery. They asked many questions and listened with great interest about various methods of treatment and international collaboration with other cities and countries, including Kazakhstan.
The students shared their impressions of Tyumen - it was their first visit: “We are in raptures over your beautiful clean city! – Roman Langolf, senior student of the group told. – Medicine is at the highest level here. We’ve been to other medical institutions and were greeted warmly everywhere. It is great to know that everybody is ready to share their experience.” The students expressed their gratitude to the Administration of Tyumen Cardiology Center and Tyumen State Medical Academy that helped them with this visit. It is worth saying that the aim of the meeting was to establish academic relations between universities of Tyumen and Kazakhstan.
