On April 3-4, 2013 for a second time, specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center examined children deprived of parental care. This time the patients were boys and girls from Tyumen Children`s Home No.66.
According to head nurse of the orphanage Venera M. Yusupova, all children undergo comprehensive medical examination annually. “Unfortunately, little attention is paid to cardiovascular examination,” she said. “The doctors of Tyumen Cardiology Center are professional. And when they offered their help, we accepted it gladly.”
During two days 37 children of the orphanage were examined. Every child underwent echocardiography performed by leading ultrasound specialist of the Cardiology Center Dr. Arkadiy Plusnin. Pediatric cardiologist of Tyumen Cardiology Center, chief children`s cardiologist of Tyumen Healthcare Department Tatiana V. Chernysheva commented: “These are special children, and of course, they need a special approach. Most of them come from troubled families. That`s why it is necessary to monitor not only their physical health but also mental state. We gave detailed recommendations for further follow-up and treatment. We`ll keep in touch with the orphanage`s doctor and continue helping them”.
The social worker of Children`s home No.66 M.I. Kuznetsova thanked the Cardiology Center doctors: “Our children should be healthy and strong individuals when entering adulthood. And your help cannot be overestimated. I`d like to thank everyone for helping us.”
It was not the first charitable event of our doctors. In February 2013 specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center with their colleagues from Tyumen Medical Academy examined 67 children and over 100 employees at the orphanage “Siyanie Severa” in Kirovskiy village.
