Good deeds made February warmer

At the turn of February physicians from Tyumen Cardiology Center visited Kirovsky village of Isetsky District, Tyumen region with an unusual mission. Cardiologists, neurologists, pediatricians, otolaryngologists and ultrasound diagnostics specialists from Tyumen Cardiology Center and Clinic of State Medical Academy conducted a complex check-up for employees and orphans of a Children’s home “Siyanie Severa” (Northern Lights) on February 19 and 26, 2013.


The orphanage “Siyanie Severa” was founded in 1998. This is the district health-educational institution of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug for orphans and children left without parental care. Tyumen Regional Duma deputies Nikolay A. Tokarchuk and Fuat G. Sayfitdinov, members of Board of Trustees of Isetsky Children’s home took an initiative to conduct a survey for the orphans.
“We are just intermediaries, - Nikolay A. Tokarchuk noted. – Most of the work was made by doctors of Tyumen Cardiology Center who gratuitously offered their help. Despite busy schedule they got around to come, pay attention to every child and do a real quality job. We are so grateful for their nobility!”
As Tatyana V. Chernysheva, chief children’s cardiologist of Tyumen Healthcare Department, cardiologist of Tyumen Cardiology Center, Associate Professor of Tyumen State Medical Academy mentioned, 67 children were examined on February, 19. Tatyana told: “We were pleased that volunteer-students from Tyumen Medical Academy responded to our call. They went with us and helped in studying and making a check-up. All children got ECG, echocardiography and were consulted by neurologist, otolaryngologist, pediatrician and cardiologist. Due to such a complex organization we were able to cope with everything quickly and qualitatively. On February, 26 we conducted a survey of more than a hundred employees of the orphanage. Every patient got detailed recommendations. We’ll try to maintain friendship with the direction of the Children’s house and ensure the fulfillment of good medical service.”
Gennadiy Zverev, the Director of the orphanage “Siyanie Severa” expressed his gratitude to the specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center: “We didn’t expect such a response and appreciate this beau geste. You helped to diagnose diseases and we hope that it would be possible to cure them. We sincerely thank you a lot!” Gennadiy also presented the representatives of Tyumen Cardiology Center with children’s drawings, which they made in acknowledgement. It’s worth saying that the orphans greeted the doctors very warmly and told about their life: boys and girls take an active part in various competitions and take prize-winning places; they prepare performances, embroider, knit and crochet, carve wood and draw, therefore they have no tedious time.
At the end of the meeting Tyumen guests pleased the children with different gifts, including health aids which were collected within the special action by the staff of Tyumen Cardiology Center specially for the orphans from “Siyanie Severa”. This action has received a great response not only among employees of Tyumen Cardiology Center, but among friends in social networks as well. We sincerely thank all those who responded and helped us to organize the charity event!
