New facilities in Tyumen Cardiology Center

Today in the Center a new state-of-the-art operating room was officially presented.
Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, Prof. Vadim A. Kuznetsov greeted the guests. “This event is significant both for the staff and for the patients because the specialists of the Center can perform more efficient operations with this ultramodern angiographic equipment”, he pointed out. “For those patients who didn’t get efficiency from conservative treatment and could not afford treatment with new technologies, now there is a chance to prolong their life due to this new medical equipment”. Prof. Kuznetsov stressed the fact that this is not just about the new equipment - high-qualified specialists and impeccable organization are very important as well. Also, he expressed his gratitude to the Government of Tyumen Region and to Vladimir V. Yakushev, Governor of Tyumen Region for long-term cooperation and support.


Tamara P. Belokon, Deputy of Tyumen Regional Duma, Chairperson of the Permanent Commission on Parliamentary Ethics and Regulatory Procedures, Member of the Committee on Social Policy congratulated the audience on this significant event: “On behalf of the deputies of Tyumen Regional Duma I cordially congratulate you on the opening of this new operating room. In fact, the staff of the Center contributes a lot to develop high-tech approach to modern treatment and diagnostics. I would like to thank the Administration and the team of Cardiology Center, who do everything so that the citizens of Tyumen could get the most efficient medical care”.
Another guest of the event - Prof. Olga I. Frolova, Chief Physician of the Health Service Department of Tyumen Region, – stressed that this event is a new stage in the development of high-technological cardiology medical care. “We are glad that Tyumen Cardiology Center continues to reach new frontiers. I am sure that our joint work will get even stronger, and will do better to the patients”, she summed up.
After the red tape, symbolizing a major advance for the Center, had been cut, everyone proceeded for a tour to the operating room. Grigoriy V. Kolunin, MD, the Head of the Department of X-ray Surgical Methods of Diagnosis and Treatment №2, interventional cardiologist and arrhythmologist, commented during the walk. “First of all, it will help to increase the safety and efficiency of the procedures. Secondly, the variety of operations will rise eventually. Moreover, we will be able to introduce new methods into our work. For example, this year such operations as renal artery denervation and treatment of lower extremities vessels will be performed. Unfortunately, we cannot offer high-quality and efficient medical treatment without high technology, despite professional knowledge and experience of the doctors of Tyumen Cardiology Center”, he said.
