Summer expedition: physicians, journalists and scientists

From 4 to 15 July 2012, a summer expedition «On the roads of Zabolotje» will be held in Zabolotje (lands beyond the swamp) of Nizhnetavdinskiy, Tobolsk and Vagayskiy regions.


Newspaper «Tyumen region today» is sponsoring this trip. Participants of the expedition will make a difficult journey through the settlements: Tyumen, Nizhnyaya Tavda, Kuskurgul, Laytamak, Osinovskaya, Ordinarskaya, Veselinskaya and Cheburga. One part of the expedition will be made on off-road vehicles «Petrovich», another part – by airplane.
The purpose of this trip is to tell about the unique people living in the area, to show their culture and customs, and to make recommendations to the local population on small business, of the management and marketing of products, advice on the use of modern means of communication, etc.
Among the participants of the expedition are the editorial staff, representatives of the Tatars of Tyumen region, researchers from Tyumen State University.
Two young doctors Anastasia Takkand and Natalia Dementieva from urgent cardiology department of Tyumen Cardiology Center will take part in this expedition. They will conduct a medical examination of 180 people from Kuskurgul, give them recommendations on healthy lifestyle, and if necessary, send them to the consultation in Tyumen Cardiology Center.
