X International Congress “Euromedica – Hannover 2012” was held in Germany (Hannover) on 31 May-1 June 2012.
Among the main topics of the Congress were cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nutritional medicine, surgery and anaesthesiology, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, infectious diseases, sports medicine, rehabilitation, public health system.
Head of the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention at Tyumen Cardiology Center Ekaterina Viktorovna Akimova delivered an oral presentation on psychosocial risk factors of cardiovascular disease. “This congress is held annually, but I attended it for the first time. Leading scientists from medical universities and research institutes of Germany, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Tadzhikistan and Kazakhstan took part in the Congress. In total the meeting had about 100 attendees. Besides, the organizers had prepared a very interesting city tour and we learned a lot about the history of Hannover,” she said.
It is worth noting that Ekaterina Viktorovna was awarded "Europe's honored scientist" title and the Robert Koch medal, one of the highest scientific awards in Germany given for major advances in the biomedical sciences.
