On April 20-22 the 8th Annual Congress of the European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society was held in Munich, Germany.

Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center: Prof. Alexander Yu. Rychkov, scientific leader of the Heart Rhythm Disturbances Department, and Dmitry V. Krinochkin, Head of the Ultrasound Diagnostics Department, participated in the Congress with oral and poster presentations.
“It was the first time that I attended the ECAS Congress. The program included over 72 oral presentations and 60 posters. There were 9 presentations from Russia, and two of them were ours. I think it`s a very good result. On the whole, the Congress was very informative and interesting. All aspects of clinical electrophysiology were discussed. Specialists not only from Europe but also from South America, Japan, USA and other countries talked about their research. I especially liked several presentations made by scientists from Germany and Latvia. My poster was concerned with the relationship between ventricular arrhythmias and heart failure in patients with implantable devices. Dmitry Vladislavovich delivered an oral presentation on the role of 3D echocardiography in cardiac resynchronization therapy. Both presentations were based on serious research, and the abstracts were published in one of international journals of interventional electrophysiology”, said Prof. Rychkov.
