Tyumen cardiologists at the Congress “Cardiostim”

On February 16-18, 2012 X International Slavic Congress on Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology “CARDIOSTIM” was held in St. Petersburg. Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center and Tyumen Regional Clinical Hospital participated in the Congress.



Physicians of Tyumen Cardiology Center delivered 10 oral and 6 poster presentations. Director of the Cardiology Center Prof. Vadim A. Kuznetsov and scientific leader of the Heart Rhythm Disturbances Department Prof. Alexander Yu. Rychkov were co-chairmen of several sessions. Vadim Anatolievich noted a high scientific level of the meeting and told that the presentations of our scientists had been highly rated. For the first time our cardiologists conducted “How I do it” session where they demonstrated the use of echocardiography for cardiac resynchronization therapy.
Moreover, the young doctor of the Ultrasound Diagnostics Department Nikolay Melnikov was awarded the first prize for the best poster among more than 100 participants. He was given a diploma and 1000 dollars prize money.
The congress is held annually. This year there have been a large number of participants from different cities of Russia (Tomsk, Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Saransk, Nizhny Novgorod, Tyumen, Krasnodar, Khabarovsk, Chelyabinsk) and foreign countries as well (Switzerland, USA, France, Ukraine, Germany).
