On October 11-13, 2011 the Russian National Congress of Cardiologists was held in Moscow. According to the organizers, the Congress had a record number of attendees – more than 4500 cardiologists, therapists and other health care professionals.
The scientific program of the Congress included plenary sessions, scientific sessions, section sessions, symposia, lectures, a poster session, a school for physicians and young scientists competition. Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center took an active part in the congress and delivered oral and poster presentations.
Among the main topics discussed at the congress there were new medical technologies in cardiology, new approaches to treatment of CVD, interventional cardiology, improvement in the delivery of cardiological services and others. At the Congress 6 National Guidelines on different aspects of diagnosis and treatment of CVD were accepted.
