"Healthy hearts" will visit Tyumen

On 23-24 September Tyumen will host the all-Russian educational campaign Healthy Hearts. Tyumen Cardiology Centre will take part in the Healthy Hearts activities.



The Healthy Hearts project includes educational programmes for healthcare professionals and patients and free screening tests for the citizens of the region to detect cardiovascular diseases.
Screening examination of the citizens will be organized on the 24th of September from 10-00 till 16-00 in the Atrium Hall of Tyumen Technopark, West-Siberian Innovation Centre, 142, Respubliki Str. There also will be School for patients from 11-30 till 12-30 in the President Hall.
Science School for physicians will take place on the 23d of September from 10-00 till 14-20 in Tyumen Regional Hospital No.1 , 7, Chervishevskiy tract 4 km. It is expected that the School will be attended by cardiologists, physicians, intensivists and other specialists. They will listen to the lectures on new methods for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and exchange experience with leading cardiologists of Russia.
The School will be opened by Professor Nikolay F. Gerasimenko, Academician of the RAMS, First Deputy Chairman of the Health Protection Committee of the RF State Duma, Head of the Party project Healthy Heart.
Lectures will be delivered by leading Russian specialists:
•Professor Rafael G. Oganov, Academician of the RAMS, President of the Society of Cardiology of the Russian Federation, Head Cardiologist of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of RF, Director of the State Research Centre For Preventive Medicine;
•Professor Victoria B. Mychka, Leading scientific researcher of the Systemic Hypertension Department at the Russian Cardiology Research and Production Complex;
•Professor Nana V. Pogosova, Head of the Department of Secondary Prevention of Chronic Diseases and NCD, Vice-President of the National Society of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation;
•Professor Arkadiy L. Vertkin, Head of the Chair of Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Emergency Care at Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, President of the National Society of Emergency Care.
Within the examination the citizens will have the opportunity to undergo screening for major cardiovascular risk factors free of charge.
They can get measured their
- blood glucose and cholesterol levels;
- blood pressure, waist circumference;
- stress tolerance level and harmful habits dependence;
After that all those willing will be able to consult highly qualified cardiologists. If it is necessary they will be referred to specialized clinics for further examination. Screening examination will be performed by doctors from Tyumen Cardiology Center and other medical institutions of the city.
It is worth noting that the organizers of the Healthy Hearts project are the All-Russian Party United Russia and the Society of Cardiology of the Russian Federation. In 2009-2011 Healthy Hearts have visited 28 of the biggest cities of our country. More than 45000 citizens of Russia have been examined within this project. About 6000 doctors of different specialties have participated in the educational events.
