Cardiologists meet in Omsk

On June 2-3 IV All-Russian scientific-practical conference with international participation “Topical Issues of Internal Pathology. Connective Tissue Dysplasia” was held in Omsk. The conference was attended by specialists from Novosibirsk, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Izhevsk, Perm and other cities of Russia.


Tyumen Cardiology Center was the organizer of satellite symposium “New Era in the Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases” which was held within the meeting on the 2nd of June. Specialists of Tyumen Cardiology Center shared their experience of using high-technology methods for diagnostics and treatment of coronary artery disease, chronic heart failure, arrhythmias.
Oral presentations were delivered by Prof. Vadim A. Kuznetsov, Director of Tyumen Cardiology Center, Honored scientist of the Russian Federation; Grigoriy V. Kolunin, Head of Cath. Lab 2; Ivan S. Bessonov, interventional cardiologist. The results of the symposium were summarized with a quiz, and all the winners were given a recently published book by V.A. Kuznetsov and A.A. Korzhenkov “False Tendons in the Heart: Diagnostics and Clinical Significance.”
It is worth noting that meetings of colleagues from Omsk and Tyumen have been held annually for many years. The main goal of that cooperation is to provide up-to-date cardiac care for the citizens of Omsk. Last year about 90 patients from Omsk were treated in Tyumen Cardiology Center.
